Winemaking
- A blend of must (unfermented grape juice) and Jura marc, previously aged for 2 years in 228-liter barrels.
- After ageing, the blend is coopered in 228-liter barrels, followed by at least 12 months’ ageing.
Tasting
- Macvin du Jura has a bright, limpid golden yellow color.
- The bouquet is soft, powerful and fruity, with aromas of dried fruit and a subtle hint of melted marc.
- On the palate, it’s harmonious, balanced and persistent, with fruity, candied aromas and a touch of spice.
Food and wine pairing
- Macvin du Jura should be served at a temperature of 8°C.
- A delightful aperitif, accompanied by diced Comté cheese and walnuts.
- Perfect with melon as a starter.
- For dessert, it goes perfectly with apple pie, vanilla ice cream, gingerbread, galette des rois and many other desserts.
